Even tho most people these collect Blu Ray's these days there will always be a place in heart for dvdd as i still have a lot of them and there certain films or tv shows that aren't out on blu ray yet so here goes.
I ordered season 4 of the old BBC comedy Waiting For God and here's a blast from the past from my kid hood I got The Complete Series of Iron-Man the 60's cartoon, they only made 13 eps yeah its a little corny in places and the animation no where as good as the modern day cartoons but it still has a special place in my heart.
i got the iron man animated series 1994-1996 on dvd. may also get the hulk 1996 and the spiderman 1990's series on dvd. from what i have about them they close to the source material.
Got a couple more dvd bargains picked the old comedy series Chance in A Million: The Complete Series and another old cartoon series this time Spider-Woman: The Complete Series, they only made 14 ep's and also features two guest appearances from Spider-Man.

I gotta admit she looked very hot Smile.
Picked up the film The Limey and the 60's complete season of Captain America on dvd.
I find it weird to follow the premise "people are hot for blu-rays but we can still be nostalgic for dvds" eek Maybe I'm just a late adopter where tech is concerned, it took me a while to move to DVDs and I'm in no rush for the next generation.

It amazes me the breadth of what is available on DVD: complete boxsets for the Two Ronnies or Dad's Army or The Mysterious Cities of Gold or The Sweeney or etc etc etc Surprised

I recently got 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' and 'Smiley's People' for a total of less than £5 Cool I'm slowly picking off all the Dr Who DVDs (old series, mind) Wink
I've never bothered with blu ray. I'm sure I'll have to adapt to it eventually or perish but for now I'm still having a ball with dvds. I too am in no rush to dispense with that age of technology yet. I still record stuff on vhs (the real dinosaur era stuff) - so blu ray is a step too far just yet.

Picked up some more of the Doctor Who classic era dvds recently in a sale - Colony In Space (Jon Pertwee), the Dominators (Patrick Troughton) and Brain of Morbius (Tom Baker).

Matt Smith's stories will have to wait... if I decide to get them at all... Wink

I took my time converting to blu ray but I have to say the difference in picture and sound quality is really noticeable. To get the best out of it a 5.1 system helps too. That said I get the odd dvd still, like the classic Dr Who episodes.Big Grin
Managed to pick up the first season of Extras for 98p Smile.
