When you go to big stations like Manchester, Clapham Junction or so you have to let the station manager know that your an rail enthusiast so that they can get on with their jobs. Where as smaller stations like Hornsey where i live you can spots trains without permission as it is an part time station some stations are unstaffed so you do whatever or so.
where i live they even have some of them old steam engine trains.

Thats fanstatic as i love steam then diesel is second anyway if you have some pics of the steam engine trains in your area it would be grateful.
Steam all the way for me & I love steam trains. The Tornado is a masterpiece & so nostalgic too. Not seen her run yet but maybe I just might one day.

Not keen on the diesels as they look quite boring in comparison to the like of the Tornado.

Glad this has been kept a serious thread & a nice thread too, a refreshing change to the tits & ass threads.

Kells x

Why thank you Sir!
I take it you're implying you will take Kelly for a beer?
Does Walt Disney do cartoons!
There where a lot of steam trains around when I was little. It was exciting to spot one with a name on rather than just a number.
Everybody used to have one of the IanAllen books with all the numbers in and cross them out when seen.
I had only seen one or two as I grew up with electric & diesel & its great that its come full circle.

Maybe I watched 'The Railway Children' too many times as a kid lol.

Anyway, nice thread Birdlime so I will rep you for it.
