The guy next to the car is a wheelchair rugby player... it is a mean game, check out Murder Ball
Can't wait for the paralympics to get underway like the advert says they really are superhumans. To go through what they've been through i cant imagine how hard its been.

Im so glad the place is full to the brink for the opening ceremony. These amazing athletes deserve the support more then most.

Good luck Team GB and to the other competitors.

Lets make this the best paralympics yet.
wanna throw sumthin out there and hope im not being ignorant or stupid when i say this! i know when able bodied athletes sumtimes fail blood tests and stuff they often cum out with i took it for sumthin and didnt realise that substance was in it! can certain paralympians take certain things to help them with their disability where as an able bodied athlete cant? surely there must be sum things which they need to take to help them deal with there disability!

If they're on prescription meds it has to be declared. Any Athlete taking an "off the shelf" cure (cough medicine etc) is asking for trouble.
If you missed the screening earlier this month, I'd recommend seeing The Best of Men - a drama telling the story of "Papa" Guttmann who founded the Paralympics just after the Second World War: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01m1jqd

A truly inspiring story.
i did not watch the open ceremony has i knew the ad breaks would spoil it. i wont be watching due to having normal freeview and channel 4 only have the extra channels on virgin, sky and freeview hd but i will be following it. probably watch paralympics tonight programme for highlights and also the last leg programme with adam hills (1 legged comedian from australia, appeared on mock the week).
the ad's were not that bad during the ceremony the last 90 mins had none. thing is channel 4 are commercial station and they need to break even on the operation but they have dedicated a huge amount of time to the games

dont think it would have been possible of right for the BBC to have done both as would have meant cutting almost all of there schedules for a month also loved the meet the superhuman aspect to it
