there were rumours drogba could be moving to barcelona days after signing a contract with Shangha Shenhua, its either drogba does not like china, chinese food, the people or anelka has done something however barca have denied these rumours. barca dont need an over the hill striker.

sometimes harry redknapp comes out with a load of crap, today in his interview he says he tried to sign balotelli 'on loan' before man city got him, yh like i really would believe that. Its like everytime a reporter talks to him about a player he just suddenly goes 'oh i nearly signed him for tottenham', he did the same with vermaelen saying he could have taken him, he even bizarrly said last year he wanted to sign downing, ashley young and phil jones all at once- yh like levy has a blank chequebook.

Latest rumour is that Andre Villas-Boas is going to be named as Spurs new manager this afternoon.
AVB yet to be named Spurs manager, and in the mean time both Blanc and Deshamps have both left their positions. Could they be late runners for the job at the Lane ?

I heard Deshamps is in the running for the France job and is the favourite, so that could potentially rule him out or else he has a change of heart. I think AVB is the best candidate for the Tottenham job
I thought Blanc would take the Spurs job after the Euro's but it seems AVB will get it. I think a risky move for Levy as there is mixed feelings on the sacking of dirty Harry.
Also the hacks will be on AVB's back from day one, so if thing don't go well from the off then he'll be under pressure from the media.

AVB needs time, every manager needs time, I really wish managers were given at least two seasons to build there team at a club. I think AVB is the right manager for Tottenham, he plays attractive football that should please the fans and I think a clever manager. He didn't win the treble in Portugal in his first season by luck. Although when dealing with the media, he needs to be a little less aggressive like he was during his time at Chelsea
