About 30 years ago, I remember flying as a passenger in a very small plane from Copenhagen to Malmo (in Sweden). I am pretty certain that if there had been a bridge then, we would have driven to Malmo rather than flying there.
Watching "The Bridge" on BBC4, I was not sure whether the bridge was real or invented to fit in with the storyline.
Just got around to checking it out with Google street maps. There is indeed a bridge now, but its construction was only completed in 1999.

"The Bridge" is another current series that has a female nutter investigator in a lead role. Homeland (last episode was on Sunday) definitely a nutter, and "The Killing" (2nd season American version started last week) not totally normal.

Just a reminder that the final 2 episodes start at 9pm on ch4 tonight.
The penultimate episode is also repeated on Monday night and the final episode is repeated on Tuesday night.
Earlier episodes are still on the BBC iplayer.
My tv mag says that there will be a season 2, sometime in the future.
