Do you think Celtic and Rangers should to join English football?

Tell us if you think it would be a good or bad idea
as a non scottish celtic supporter i would like to see them in the premiership, but it'll never happen in my lifetime!

as for rangers, sure why not. stick them in the blue square! Big Grin
No
There isn't an option for my opinion, as it isn't as cut and dry as the options on offer...

If they do join they should start from the very bottom like everyone else. 20 years ago on March 25th 1992 Aldershot Football club ceased to exist. They were the first club since Accrington Stanley to get the boot. We had to start from the bottom, 16 years later we were back!!

If Celtic and Rangers choose to join the English leagues then they should do the same. They can dress themselves up with history and silver but at the end of the day it means fuck all when you're in England. Those that say they're to big for the lower leagues are looking at the smaller picture. The bigger picture is every club started some where and they should not be exempt from that.

IF and only IF they choose to, then they'll help the lower league sides by bringing a decent following away. The non leagues are regional now anyway, so they'll be able to travel away without having to shell out going to Sutton on a Tuesday night for example.

If they want a direct passage into the football league then it is a load of bollocks!! They should stay in Scotland unless they are willing to do it the right and proper way!
"NO" Let's be honest, they would struggle in the Championship, let alone with the big boys.
No
Apparantly with Rangers situation, Celtic are talking about getting in League One replacing Portsmouth if they go under.

No they wouldn't struggle. With their huge attendances and with them getting the same TV money as other Premier League clubs, they would expect to be in contention for the top places. Saying they would struggle in the Championship is a joke. Why aren't Man Utd struggling in the Championship then? Celtic in the Premier League would have the same income as Arsenal and I don't see Arsenal being relegated anytime soon. Celtic would expect to finish above Liverpool, for example, with their capacity of more than 60,000 compared to Liverpool's 45,000. Although it's all academic as it happens, because Celtic and/or Rangers would almost certainly have to start in the Northern League and as it would take years to get into the Premier League from there I can't see them being willing to take that option. Although if Rangers actually get liquidated they might seriously consider it.
Hell no. Who wants to see boring Rangers and Celtic ? I wanna see Cowdenbeath, Ross County and Falkirk. Maybe Ayr Utd too.
Absolutely no. We don't want to dilute our league. Also it would be the end of Scottish football. As has been stated, they would have to start at the bottom. Can't see them being keen on that. They wouldn't attract any quality players.-although many would say that's the case now.
