I love this movie so much maybe not as well know as other hongkong flicks but will always be one of my personal favs

All one needs to do is mention Takeshi Miike. Just dive into Ichi The Killer, Gozu, Audition and Visitor Q (Preferably in one sitting) to feel the full effect of his manic genius.
Another cracker from South Korea,Sympathy For Mr Vengeance,from Park Chan Wook who also directed Oldboy,I'm A Cyborg But That's Ok,Thirst,Joint Security Area,this man makes no bad films

A high school student finds a notebook (the death note) and finds out if he writes a person's name in the book then that person dies of a heart attack moments later,he uses it to rid the world of criminals
Beautiful,eerie and terrifying in the right places its how all horror films should be. One of the most clever and flawless horror films i have ever seen.

Two sisters who, after spending time in a mental institution, return to the home of their father and cruel stepmother. Once there, in addition to dealing with their stepmother's obsessive and unbalanced ways, an interfering ghost also affects their recovery.
Love Exposure.

Three emotionally abused individuals from the fringes of society get locked in a convoluted love triangle. Yuu, a Catholic boy searching for true love ends up taking "panty shot" photos of women in public until he discovers Yoko, whom he sees as his Virgin Mary. Yoko, an anti-family, misandrist girl finds that her foster mother will be marrying Yuu's father. Koike, an "original sinner" and the regional leader of a brainwashing cult, co-ordinates a plan to convert Yuu's family to her cult.

Was originally 6 hours, but they thought it was too long...so cut it down to 4 Big Grin
Hana Bi,brilliant crime thriller from Beat Takeshi,it's hard to decide which is his greatest film,this one could be it

brilliant action western obviously inspired by Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns of the 60s,directed by Jee - Woon Kim,one of South Korea's finest
