And there's also Freeview of course, which can be highly localised.

That's fine. Scotstation featuring

Caty Cole
Amanda Rendall
Sophia Knight

and I'm sure we can find a few more durty wee scheme burds to fling into the mix too.... or some sassesnatchs Wink

Mind you, you could also have Jim Davidson, Gordon Ramsay, the Crankies and Gordon Brown back. Provided we can hang on to Lulu, Sean Connery, Elvis and Annie Lennox.
It looks like the inevitable has happened and 3 more channels are not

broadcasting. Vera Lynn won't be singing tonight.

Vera Lynn may not be singing, but for one show it looks like the 'fat lady' has.
I am so pissed off that we have to be so bloody cryptic about this
Yes it's true this channel has had it's fair share of bodyblows from Ofcom, however with regards to it having it's licence revoked, it's really pretty much at this stage guess work, no conclusive evidence supports this claim, for a start all 3 are still on the SKY EPG and also they are advertising the channel too. I am of the opinion that this channel is instead going bust. They have done nothing from what I've seen to draw any attention from Ofcom as it has been dire and stale which leads me to the conclusion that they are simply in dire staits and have been cut off from broadcasting. Bear in mind this channel has had no hot water for the last few days, my thinking is the end is near for them as the recent Ofcom fine has taken it's toll on them and they have simply run out of revenue. Sad to see but Ofcom don't have to revoke a channels licence in order for them to go out of business. Ofcom have more than likely bankrupted them.
It is the licence holders, S.E.L, who are having the problems having been fined by OFCOM, The offences I think occurred when Sport resumed broadcasting on those channels. This link may give an indication of the ongoing "technical problems".

Good find KRISB. Just to correct you on the other point, the recent SEL fines were incurred by the activities of the channel we can't talk about, their sub-contractor.

I wonder if SEL have decided to kill off their company in order to avoid paying the fines which should have been paid/reimbursed by the 'dover channel' anyway.

Confirmation of the fine imposed is in the latest OFCOM bulletin.

By the way, does anyone else get turned on reading the descriptions of the "offending" parts of the shows?
Apparently the "technical problems" that have resulted in the 3 channels not broadcasting tonight have meant that Babecast and Elite TV are down too.
