has anybody seen this message before?

I have been getting this all day.
I have done a system restore, and reinstalled firefox.
still cant connect, using google chrome at the moment,
but it doesnt have my bookmarks or email passwords.
no smc but i have only just started using it
if u look in c drive, users, ur pc name folder, app data ( hidden file) , roaming, mozilla, firefox, profiles, default , shud find backup bookmarks in there. just rename most recent one bookmarks.html and copy and paste in that directory. hope it helps. never seen that error message b4. but i did do similar thing to transfer bookmarks from old pc to new.

Which version of Firefox do you have. Latest version is 3.06 which came out a few days ago. I have no trouble with it in linux or windows. Using it now.

when i got the problem this morning, i downloaded 3.06 and installed it,didnt help, same error message.
i sent a crash report to mozilla, but have yet to get a reply.

I can see it. If anyone else cant, this is it.

You might want to check for spyware. I had a problem a few weeks back where it kept crashing and I had to keep on downloading it. I used spybot search & destroy from http://www.download.com and it found backdoor.tdss.asz, got rid of the virus and haven't had any probs with firefox since.

That's the one I found on my parent's PC the other day which stopped IE opening even though all internet connections were fine! Used PC Doctor and found it but,ironically,this made me download Firefox which is now the default on the PC.
