As I'm sure most of you are aware, the next series of Merlin starts on saturday 1st October. Should be a good evening as it follows the last episode of Dr Who..... Enjoy

1st part of a 2part story.
i like the way they built the characters before introducing the key arthurian parts like the sword in the stone, the round table, the knights of the round, morgana now fighting arthur and merlin. this could the best series of merlin so far has the acting and scripts get better.
michelle ryan returns as Nimueh, Santiago Cabrera (Isaac Mendez from Heroes), emilia fox (silent witness) all return. John Hurt will have more screen time has the dragon.

they are not going to have lancalot, gwen and arthur love triangle has most arthurian stories do.

they will be having arthur pulling excalibur out of the stone.

merlin series 5 starts this saturday after strictly.
this series is going to be darker than last series and set years after the end of series 4 , have more of the arthurian legend with the round table, excalibur, merlin v morgana and mordred (now older). could series 5 see merlin reveal who he really is to arthur and gwen.
