I'm a bit out of the loop here having not caught up with NFL news for a while but it seems training camps and preseason games are about to start up,so I'm assuming labour disputes and lockouts have been satisfctorily resolved.

As a Redskins fan however we might have done better if the lock out was still in place. With McNabb looking to be out and no real experience at QB, a disapointing receiver corp, and weak OL it looks like a fairly decent defence will have to step up again if we are to win more than 4.
the new york daily news reported (25th july) that the labour dispute of the bargaining agreement has settled.

the complete draft for 2011-12 season http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_NFL_Draft
Great news the season is on, I'm looking forward to the game at wembley stadium as my team Chicago Bears are one of the teams playing
All good now the lockout's been sorted Big Grin

Did it not grind anyone elses gears that they were arguing over how to divide up something like 9 billion dollars. That's billion with a b people!
Delighted the season is back on track but depressed about free agency. As a Giants fan it pains me to say it but looks to me as if they eagles are the team to beat this year in the NFC with all their signings including the best cornerback in the league in namdi.

And considering we haven't beaten them in quiet awhile not a good time to be playing them twice a year *sigh*

Superbowl for me based on preseason is going to be eagles v's patriots.

Anyone else have a prediction?
As a Raiders fan,i've got absolutely no idea how they are going to do this year, losing two of our best players Nnamdi Asomugha and Zach Miller in free agency was a blow, especially Miller who's Jason Campbell's favorite target.
Defensively,The Raiders have one of the best front seven's in the NFL,but the secondary is a worry,i was amazed when they re-signed Stanford Routt and Michael Huff to mega bucks contracts, both of whom have been inconsistent performers and are prone to giving up big plays.
Offensively, the O-Line is the main worry, whilst it's accepted they are a young talented bunch, they are so inexperienced that you can't help thinking that Campbell had better not hold onto the ball for too long or else he's an IR waiting to happen!
The main thing with the Raider offense is can they stay fit? Mcfadden,Schilens,Murphy all tend to miss games,a fully fit offense The Raiders will be a match for anyone.
I can't believe the derision by pundits on ESPN about The Raiders decision to draft Terrelle Pryor in the supplemental draft in exchange for a third round pick!! WTF?? They are already calling the guy a bust before he's even stepped foot in training camp, bloody hell, give the guy a chance before you condemn him.Any draft pick is a gamble,if Pryor hadn't been suspended and had another year in college,he probably would have been a second round pick next year, who knows?

Oops i forgot,my Superbowl prediction Jets v Packers.
As a fan of Alabama on the college side of the game and a Atl Falcons fan in the NFL, I'm supremely concerned about what we traded to get Julio Jones at WR.

Yes he can be explosive and good at running the ball but I also remember he dropped the ball a lot last season for 'Bama. I think we've given away far too many draft picks (both this year and future) for someone with suspect catching capabilities :-/
i thought NFL was on channel 5 or espn but i saw an advert for it on sky sports 2 so have sky bought all the rights or will some still be shown on 5 and espn
no channel 4 show nfl games now on a sunday night/monday morning around 1am, the bbc will be showing highlights of the wembley game on october 23rd between tampa bay and chicago bears. sky show games mainly on sundays
thanks will have to keep an eye out
