Cant say i knew the piece he was playing, but i could appreciate his skill.
If you thought he was good (which he was) I'd suggest you don't miss the chinese bloke, Lang Lang, because he is something else.

I agree, but he is a world renowned classical pianist, one of if not the best.
Hehe you said pianist...damn, I've lowered the tone yet again ...this is why i wasn't invited to the Royal Wedding.
On a more sophisticated note,it is nice to see the Proms being discussed,I've been a musician for 16 years and i am completely awe struck by the talent of the people mentioned earlier, they truly are gifted...where as it took me 6 months to learn Smoke on the water..
Watching and listening at this moment.

The Proms:Music from the Movies
Brilliant.
Some years ago, an old school-friend whose Dad was some legal bigwig rang me up to say that he had a spare ticket for Last Night of the Proms, and if I could get up to London I could have it for free.
It was the most astonishing experience, and even though I'm the least jingoistic person you'll ever meet, I found myself in a sea of hooray-henries and belting out "Land of Hope and Glory" at the top of my voice.
The new season of this kicks off tonight
