I vaguely seem to remember one from Murray Walker along the lines of: "Well its 10 points for a win, 8 points for the 2nd fastest, 6 points for 3rd fastest right the way down to 1 point for the slowest fastest".
During last nights T20 cricket match Leicestershire v Yorkshire,Matthew Hoggard bowled the 1st ball of an over to Joe Sayers. When the ball struck the batsman in the box,Sky commentator Nasser Hussain said "one ball gone"
On Sky Sports coverage of todays 4th Test,Michael Atherton commented on a poor 1st over by R.P.Singh & mistakenly refered to him as R.P.Swing.To Botham countered with "well R.P.Singh isn't swinging it"
the bowler's holding, the batsman's willey....... oh how i wish it had been spelt and 'grammarsized' differently....!!! now that would have been a cricket match even a few ladies might have wanted to have watched...??

The whole thing is actually mythical, despite bigguy01 claiming that Brian Johnston had prepared it a few years before and saved it for the right moment. The claim that it happened was made in a letter written to Brian Jonston by someone called "Miss Mainbrace". Johnston didn't know himself whether he had really said it or not, but the BBC went through the recordings of the broadcasts from the match in question and couldn't find anything like that. It appears to have simply been a joke by "Miss Mainbrace", although nobody has ever come forward and claimed to be that person or to have written the letter that started the story.
