This could be for a number of reasons but mostly seems to be an attempt to mask negative feedback and disputes. Note to new users of the AW site - don't just look at the number in the performer's rating feedback, click on it as well to reveal a more realistic view of their feedback. For example, one girl, a current Babestation girl, has a rating of 271 - seems excellent. But clicking on her feedback reveals that the 271 is out of 299 with people who've interacted with her scoring her 2 negatives and her having 24 disputes. She's also hidden her feedback so that comments left about her are not visible. Beware the feedback hiders...

There does appear to be a fundamental flaw with AW. Customers can not be totally guaranteed of receiving what they have paid for upfront. Only positive "reviews" seem to feature in profiles. Time management of certain models is open to a wide interpretation.

I don't use any other cam sites, so I'm unable to compare AW to other sites, but I think it's important that girls who don't produce what they say they will or treat paying customers with contempt should be highlighted. Similarly, girls who are excellent cammers should be known as well. I've had some very good experiences with Kimberley J ex-Babestation in particular. Paige Turnah and Abbie Toyne were very good as well.
