So the English county has begun, we've so far had a couple of rounds of the LV County Championship and yesterday was the start of the 40-over competition.

In the CB40, Holland are topping their group following wins over Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Will they build on this?

Somerset had been tipped for great things but have so far been beaten easily in their opening four day games.
if northants batting unit find form and the bowling unit stay fit and keep their form they could get promotion in the county championship. their limited overs teams are always strong. hopefully some silverware this season.
i support lancashire in cricket and am very happy with things so far
Yeah I hope Somerset pick up their championship results and form soon, uncertain if Hildreth will get in the England side so time this summer, must admit I missed Taylor batting for Leicester earlier, but he does look a real talent.

I like Somerset and Lancashire and always sort of have, dating back to the great one day sides that Lancs had in the 90s.
Warwickshire have made a great start to their championship campaign with back to back wins over Somerset and Worcestershire. I can,t wait for the redevelopment to be finished so i check out new look Edgbaston, it should be quite something. I think it will be hard for the Bears to maintain their good start when the international season starts as they will almost certainly lose Woakes along with bell and Trott for the best part of the season. Still i will enjoy it while it lasts.
You're poll doesn't cover my preferences of t20 and county championship, the 40 over competition sucks which is why England suck at 1-day cricket

I'm a Yorkshire fan but again am going to be disappointed no big overseas signings and light on the batting. The talent we do have will be with England
Bresnan,Rashid,Shezhad and possibly Andrew Gale.
One bright note Ryan Sidebottom has returned but he won't last the full season.

Sack the board!
Oh sorry for missing out that in the poll.

Seems like Lancs are continuing their good start to the season down at Sussex. Missing out on the fifth batting point but in the end getting up to 590 all out.

I see Rashid getting in the ODI side no doubt this season again (for Yardy).

Overall, I'm not too sure who will win the County Championship. Currently a bit uncertain about Somerset in the four-day game, don't rate their bowling lineup but of course they do have plenty of batting talent. With Somerset though they are better equiped all round for the limited over stuff.

Isnt that because you were screwed in the pocket by hosting the Aussie & Pakistan Test as well as rebuilding Headingley?

Overseas players are too over rated now, not like the old days when they stayed for a season and were proven Test players.

These days some of them haven't even played for their countries yet let alone be well known Sad

As a fellow Tyke it's interesting to see that many of your views have been spot on.Sidebottom over-bowled & nursing a knee injury.Somehow money has been found & Jacques Rudolph has offered his services to try & save us the embarrassment of relegation. Will all need to dig deep & show some Yorkshire grit.
You Yorkshire fans should be grateful that you have some good young talent coming through... and that your board are backing them.
This policy will pay dividends in future years.

Some of the other counties are blocking their young players by using overseas players who have somehow got qualification to play for England or an EU country.
