but the files im trying to upload are only 2.4mb.....

Make sure they are jpeg's not bmp's. Or try loading one per message?

There was some sort of issue recently with adding attachments, maybe it's a result of that, maybe there are attachment size limits? who knows.

Why not upload the images to your blog and then just link to them, hope you don't mind me posting this one...
