I'm sure everyone has an opinion on who we would choose to be in our dream team if we had the pick of every player that ever pulled on a football shirt. So for all us footie enthusiasts who post here and more importantly just for a bit of fun I started this thread so we could all put across our ideas, compare some notes and, maybe if the desire is there we can fire a bit of friendly abuse each others way if one person leaves one of our favourites out of their team. The main thing is we do it for fun and it's personal choice & not based on facts and stats Smile Smile

Would go to war with that squad any day Smile
If this is a dream XI then I'm going for a revolutionary 4-0-6 line up confident in the ability of my back four and goalkeeper plus the opposition would never actually have possession of the ball (bit like Barca 2010-2011).

Gordon Banks (honourable mention Schmeichel and Southall)

Paolo Maldini, Sir Bobby Moore, Claudio Gentile, Giuseppe Bergomi (hard Italians + Mooro)

Michel Platini, Johann Cruyff, Leo Messi, Original Ronaldo (the toothy one in his pomp), Gerd Muller, Pele

Might get a few wins that team.

Manager: Captain Vimes

I don't need subs all these blokes love/loved the game too much to go off the pitch for a measly injury. Wink

Fair is fair. I wish I'd put that team down.

Magic football!

Although old fogies like me who listened to their dads would contest that Brazil 1962 were an even better team after listening to my old man drone on about them ad nauseum

Plus that team included Garrincha, a man who lost his virginity to a goat, Google it, which surely adds an extra dimension. Wink
the only thing what surprised me is that only one person has gone for george best. myself i went for the 1970 brazil team cos they would probably beat any other team what you could think of anyway. i could have easily put best and maradona in but i dont think best played at the top level for long enough. talent wise he was arguably as good as any1 thats played the game but i dont think he fulfilled his talent.

What a fucking let-down Malannoyed! I was hoping it would have shown the goal from between the gaping gash of some Brazilian babe, or at least from a wobbly camera between her big tits as she sambasTongue
