Its not all out thrash,4 of the songs are fast, the rest are mid tempo and even slow, but very heavy.I think its a great album.
looks like there was a good gig on at the house of vans at waterloo last night didnt win tix tho 3 new songs on the setlist
^ it was a great show,I just watched it on MetallicaTV.They played Atlas,Rise!,Moth Into Flame and Hardwired from the new album.
On the BBC red button 1 they're showing a truncated edit of a show Metallica played for radio 1.Again including the same 3 songs from the new album as mentioned above.

Would that be referring to Kill Em All, their first album, or The Black Album, their first mainstream one?
I have no idea if this is true but there's news circulating that Metallica are to perform with Lady GaGa at the Grammy awardsSurprised
On November 10th Metallica are releasing a remastered deluxe Master of Puppets box set, which includes :

10 CDs
Two vinyl LPs
Two DVDs
A cassette
108 page hardback book
Lithograph
Folder with handwritten lyrics
Six button badges

The set also includes work in progress versions of songs from the album,a cover version of Diamond Head's "The Prince" recorded with Cliff Burton(which was later rerecorded with Jason Newstead)and a cover of "The Money Will Roll Right In" by Fang.

It will be released digitally as well.

Its been announced that Metallica will follow suit and release deluxe box set versions of ...And Justice For All and the Black Album.I haven't seen any details regarding the content as yet but all the previous releases have been quite exhaustive so there's no reason to think these two won't be.
Fantastic live debut of Spit Out The Bone.I was lucky enough to see them play it again in Glasgow yesterday.I'm hoping it makes the set tomorrow in Manchester also. Smile
