Thought it would be interesting to find out everyones favourite player who they have seen play for their club was.

Being a long suffering Man city fan,I've had very few great players to watch in my time until recently and I'm not old enough to remember the great players of the 60's trophy winning teams under Mercer and Allison.

Paul Lake always springs to mind when people ask me who the best player I've seen play for my club was,but I was only young when he broke through from the youth team and his career was tragically cut short at a young age.

So my choice is going to be Georgiou Kinkladze,he was in a god awful team at the time and he was a selfish little bugger but when he was on his game I've never seen anyone run with the ball like him.

Ian rush definitely one of liverpools greatest
For me Ian Ashbee, he's not the most skillful but he always gives his all, he's come back from two career ending injuries (even told he may not walk again)

He's lead us through all four divisions as our captain, an achievement in itself and when he's not in the team we miss him dearly.
In my time its Steven Gerrard. I dont remember a lot of "The King" Kenny Dalglish but he is the greatest the club ever had.
At the risk of leaving myself open to ridicule (especially from AV1 Wink) I'm gonna say Geoff Thomas. He was our captain during the late 80s and early 90s, when Mark Bright and Ian Wright got most of the headlines but that team would never have been as successful without Geoff driving the team on from midfield.
His battle against leukaemia and subsequent charity work has made him even more of a hero. I follow his Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/GeoffThomasGTF and it's clear that he still loves the club and football in general.

Dougie Freedman deserves a mention too, mainly for saving us from relegation ten years ago. Now our manager, he's got a much more difficult task to do it again this time.
Paul McGrath in my time of watching Villa
i am a little young to remember george best so out of all the player of my generation ryan giggs has got to be the best
For me as a Blackburn Rovers fan it has to be Simon Garner he was/is a legend at Ewood park.

A bit like Master Yoda my biggest memories are of the 90's onwards & when little Mitchell was bombing round the school field he was always a young
Robbie 'God' Fowler, I also loved Jamie Redknapp who was just as good as David Beckham but the two teams they were in were very different, a little earlier would've been BIG Jan Molby who at times had more possession & played more passes than the whole of the opposition team.
It's not like it used to beSmile Jan Molby aggravated Liverpool's injury crisis in the 1988-89 season when he was jailed for three months for reckless driving. He did not help his cause by turning over a car outside a nightclub. Many fans joke that the great Dane returned to the side looking fitter and trimmer than he had for years, once his spell had been completed.

'Big' Jan the original Scandinavian Scouser.

Sean Dundee & Frode Kippe will not be on this list!!!Sad
On this day of all days I should say Nat Lofthouse for Bolton but even I'm not old enough to remember him playing so I'll go for Andy Walker. Great finisher, excellent on the ball and he could swear at a linesman louder than any player in history - you could hear him in the next town.
