10. The Adult channels, including the Bookends required by OFCOM, are currently placed at LCN92-99 with an overflow section recently created at LCN 189-199. DMOL would like to consult on alternatives:
a. to extend the current range from 92-99 to 92-110.
b. to form a new and continuous block for Adult channels after News, but starting at LCN100
c. to form a new and continuous block for Adult channels to join up with the existing overflow at 189.
d. to form a new and continuous block for Adult channels at the end of broadcast TV channel list
e. to form a new and continuous block for all Adult channels (including any delivered via IPTV), at the end of the all TV channels list
f. Other (please specify)
>> Consultation Question 10: Which is your preferred option?

what does every one think i would like all the Aduit channel together in a bigger section so there can add more Big Grin
Perhaps to aid collation of opinion this should be converted into a poll and then the results can be shared with DMOL ?

If not, then my 2p would be option E as this would most likely help with regulator conversation/debate/enforcement
Yes i think option E would be the best and for the same reasons has "dirk362".

Ok thanks that a good ideal the poll is now up
I voted option (a) but would not mind option (e)

What I'd really like is for all the bloody shopping channels to be grouped together so they could easily be deleted. Ideally it should be possible to block them all at once. They keep re-appearing after every box retune and have to be deleted again. Sad
option a, because I reckon it's the furthest away from anything which could see the return of the bollocks about being "too near to cbeebies" which we got from Daryl Morgan when 'partyland' started. The only thing little kids are going to think if they see a pair of tits is 'is it lunchtime already'.
while there at there upgrade they can make it mandatory block the channels 2, so you have to unlock em to get em. this should stop ofcom whining... if they dont show up in the epg off the bat then people cant complain when they unblock em.

Good bloody Idea and one that I have been thinking about for some time.
Keep them all on light scramble[which just meens you would have to put pin in to watch]
For f**ks sake if they can let you lock the channels out then they must surely be able to do this bladewave
DMOL LCN Consultation: Statement 15 April 2011

http://www.dmol.co.uk/DMOL%20LCN%20Statement.pdf

Quote:2.2.6 The positioning of Adult & Adult Chat channels
There was general support for moving Adult & Adult Chat channels after all TV services and strong support for creating a single block of adult content.
It should be noted that DMOL recognises the sensitivities that exist around Adult and Adult Chat services and has introduced “Bookends” and the “Adult” prefix in line with Ofcom guidance in order to prevent accidental discovery of these services by minors.

Quote:3 Next steps
As DMOL moves into the next stage of this LCN consultation, it is looking to gain further understanding of the issues regarding any proposed LCN changes by engaging in qualitative and quantitative consumer research.
Following assessment of the consumer research DMOL will seek further views on any proposed changes, it is likely that this second round of consultation will commence in early Autumn 2011.

so there may be changes by 2020 lol
