It's only designed to work on iPhone 3GS / 4G / iPad, not older versions of the iPhone (3G and before). It also requires wifi at the moment - as 3G bandwidth isn't sufficient to process video at the quality that Elite are streaming (unless you're very lucky indeed!).
Works brilliantly for me on iPhone 3GS - looks fantastic. It's a shame other channels aren't following Elite's lead with this.
mines works on 3G, even when the signal is very weak
do agree that other channels should follow, the only other that does is sex station

By any chance have you both updated to the latest firmware?
The newest update is iOS 4.3 for the iPhone 4, its really good but haven't tried out all the features yet.
I'm still on 4.2 just to keep the jailbreak.
My dad has updated to 4.3 but a few things have stopped been compatible, the biggest been his stereo dock, it could be that elite haven't updated the streams to be compatible with 4.3 yet.
By any chance is this the screen your seeing?

If it is just click the bottom of the box this should launch the stream, it's showing up like that cause the image has failed 2 load
