Here's a visualization of the friendship connections between 10 million Facebook users.

The creator took a 2% sample of friendship pairs from Facebook’s data warehouse, combined that data with each user’s current city and then
summed the number of friends between each pair of cities.

He then merged the data with the longitude and latitude of each city.

The result is stunning:

Never seen this kind of stuff with my own eyes.

A full hour before the formal announcement of Bin-Laden’s death, Keith Urbahn posted his speculation on the emergency presidential address.

A rather good example of Flash/image integration called "Hong Kong at Dusk" (takes a few seconds to load):-
