Use File >> Append function
You can add as many as you like
Sorry, not sure I was clear. Basically I have a one file which includes recordings of 2 girls. so for the first 10 mins its sasha, then for 15mins or so its jet, then back to sasha, and so on. is there a way to edit the video to create 2 videos. one of the the sections of sasha and one of all the sections of jet?

Easy.
Just use the cut function to cut out all the bits you don't want, i.e Jet, and save the file as Sasha.mp4
Then close it down.
Then open up the original un-edited file you started with, and cut out all the the bits with Sasha in. Then save the file as Jet.mp4
Ah yeah - pretty simple that. I should really have used my brain on that one! Ok so I did that but I now have another problem - hopefully it will be the last.

When Ive finished editing and save the project. It is saved but just as a file and not a video. It cannot be played - Ive tried windows media player and vlc but with no luck.

Any idea why this might be?
You have to include the file type in the name of the saved video. If you encoded it as an mp4 file you have to add ".mp4" to the file name when you are saving it.
Still can't get it to work. Ive edited using the instructions in this thread so what encoding do I need to use?
anyone?

Just follow the instructions exactly as in post #1 of this thread.
It cannot be explained any simpler.
great tutorial - i'm just having one problem.

i finished and saved the file as mp4, but when i opened it with Windows Media Player it had a strange 'tinselly' sound effect. like high-pitched borg
