For anyone who's interested, although the forum message colour palette offers a choice of 40 font colours, many more than that can be used.

So how do you implement the additional colours then?

Start with [color=# then just add your chosen colour code and then close it with [/color]

Example.

Maroon

Just to add...from the link I provided in post 1, you need to use the Hex code and close the gaps between each pairing, not the Decimal code.
