I don't like the forced joviality of the night. I mean everything I say when I wish people a happy new year, but get sick of those folks in the pubs and clubs who wouldn't fart in your face if you were dieing of suffocation suddenly acting like your oldest mate just after midnight, then blanking you in the street again the next day.

Not a rant, and I'm not getting grumpy I'm just interested to know why everyone else online tonight is at home on the biggest party night of the year...
I am staying in as well mate I can't be bother with all the hassle of going out to crowded pubs fighting your way to the bar the music so loud you can't here yourself speak the extortionate beer prices and like you say the way you suddenly find at midnight the whole world is your friend then your forgotten the next day. I will open a bottle of bubbly in the comfort of my own home in the great company of you guys
happy new year everyone.
Same here too many people about and plus i can't be assed to start my car and drive around in the cold lol
i am just having a lazy day Smile
I've got Last.FM cranked and festivities on mute on the Telly and just finished off a bottle of Beer.
I'm ill so I couldn't even if I wanted to!

All I woulda done is had a few friends over or sorted something out with them anyways - I'm not really one for celebrating New Year THAT much.
Hey moorey hope your better soon mate.
Happy new year.
I just went to a party round a friends house, much better than any pub and it was possible to hear people, wicked night.
Went to my Bro's house, he always has a New Years party and there is always way too much drink, but someones got to drink it I suppose.
Had a family thing but i was pretty gone lol
The clubs and pubs arent as friendly as they once where so New Years Eve is for family
