There seems to be nothing but praise for this channel so far, but it's a very thinly disguised 'on the rebound' reaction to a certain other channel in my opnion.

What does ChatGirl give us that's so great? How is it any different to the channels/format we've had for the last decade? It's no more explicit (in fact considerably less so) than the others and offers nothing new. A definate 'also-ran'.

The reason people like it is simple, it is fresh and its the underdog, the Bolton wanderer, the Tim Henman or the Jenson Button and everyone loves an underdog

Far too many breaks for my liking which effectively means its always going to be a small fish in a big pond, new channels that come on have to make some sort of impact but unfortunately it hasn't as its just the same as the rest of the other tame wee channels. Somebody has to challenge Elite and Babestation as at the moment its still a 2 horse race.

It has made an impact, as is evidenced by the previous eight pages of this thread

StantheMan, I'm not surprised you don't like it as they're not pushing the boundaries of explicitness.

I actually think this channel is more radical than the two dissenters above give it credit for. Chatgirl seem to have a clear vision of what they want to achieve and some professional expertise behind the operation.

The change is subtle but evident for those who want to see it. The channel does offer something genuinely missing from the 900s, but if you can't see what it is then I guess the channel's not for you.

I can see why you might think that its a rebound reaction Stan and you could be right, but from my point of view a large part of its appeal is the fact their forum presence has been a positive experience...No hype, no false promises, so far they have delivered everything they have promised, nothing more, nothing less and they deserve credit for that. Personally i like the girls who have appeared thus far...mostly very girl next door types, very attainable, great pic quality...They still have issues to deal with but they admit that and are happy for the fans input to help them improve.. Thats why i like the channel thus far.

I agree with you about the breaks, there are far too many at the moment but i think at this stage the channel isnt aiming to be anything close to a big fish at this point, its brand new but its goals seem to be attainable for the moment, maybe when they establish themselves more they can look to iron out some of the issues mentioned and look to grow. Lets remember that babestation started as a show that went from 9pm till 3am on the gamestation channel and look what it has become.

All i can say is its been a good start and they deserve all the praise in the world at this moment in time for how they are handling things!!! Obviously thats just my opinion, i cant speak for anyone else!

I like the intimacy of their sets, the enthusiasm of the girls who are energetic and don't need to be begged 20 times to do something. Rather than the usual studio sets, I like that they are giving us a more personal set that the ill-fated Playhouse would have been proud of. Hell, even the foot fetishists have been getting spoiled rotten this week! No it's not more explicit, but then no channels are explicit with the exception of the odd moment when they get carried away.

It's cool if you don't like it, but please don't tell me it's a 'thinly disguised' anything mate.

Cellcast channels are just advertising loops with a sexy screensaver. They have some great girls, but I barely even check 909/910 anymore because it makes me want to put my foot through the TV when I see the full screen advertising and "girl caller" shite. I'm not going to knock Elite ...It's not always my cup of tea, but at least they do what they do well.

With CGTV, Yes ...there's a lot of downtime - but it's early days. It came out of nowhere and has a lot going for it. I don't see it as a "rebound" channel to be honest ...or even how that would be a bad thing either way. For a fledgeling channel to have a strong lineup of mainly fresh faces, solid and varied sets, a variety of active camerawork, plus staff that are more than happy to communicate and try to deliver what callers/texters actually ask for deserves credit. The way that they are making an effort is a breath of fresh air compared to the usual shitty way customers and fans have been treated by most of the other channels.

Of course there's bound to be a backlash that any new channel isn't pushing the boundaries far enough. Personally I detest censorship at the best of times, but let's be honest - considering the girls can't even show you what's inside their keks without losing their jobs (and many wouldn't anyway) what do people really expect a solo girl to do differently and get away with on British TV? Hardcore is out of the window. Maybe in 10 years, but I wouldn't bank on it. The only sizeable untapped market I can see, that doesn't necessarily involve full frontal, is to involve some of the massive array of fetishes out there ...which I certainly wouldn't mind since I'm a kinky bastardo - but I guess that isn't what some guys here are looking for when they talk of "pushing the boundaries".

The current standard for 900 channel interaction between girls is vanilla tame at best and dire at worst. I'd definitely argue that if CGTV ever does 2-4-1's/duo nights, they could markedly improve what has been done before in nearly every respect, just by applying their current good attitude of making an effort to give callers what they actually ask to see. Most of the girls on other channels (as lovely as they may be) are evidently just not up for any more than they currently do. When a girl's eyes start rolling or she fobs you off if you ask her to actually do anything - shortly followed by her completely ignoring you and going back to the "oh yeah baby" loop, it's not cool and a total waste of money when to be frank - we've all got the internet. If CGTV continues to hire girls who are up for it and gives them every reasonable freedom, they could make a real impact and push new ground even within the context of current censorship and restrictions. To see/hear some genuine orgasms would definitely be a large step in the right direction and it's definitely doable even with a no hands approach and a solo girl, using a bit of imagination Also with two girls ...a lot can happen concealed partially or fully under a set of sheets

Anyhow, I agree fully that the current one to watch is not a member of the old guard, or some pretentious prima donna with a penchant for corporate takeover - it's the single channel independent from up north throwing some tasty little sucker punches ...and long may they continue to do so
