the problem with them is there no differance from a boring passage of play to a crunching tackle , to a goal to a chance so on and so on

just a mono tone for 90 minutes and its a horible noise aswell
ban it now! & while your at it ban the england band, or at least only let them play the great escape when we're a few behind.
It's a bit annoying that dull drone right through the games..and the lack of singing and cheering, but i feel as if were disrespecting the south africans if we ask for them to be banned..
I agree with mrben - a football ground is simply no place for any kind of musical instrument. Apart from a good old brass band before the Cup Final.
There as bad as the Pompey Bell or that daft band that plays the same boring tunes at England games.
Can see why many are finding them a pain in the eardrums; have to say I'm not too affected by them, though. Must have built up my immunity to the negative effects of constant hum by listening to lots of ambient drone music. The vuvuzelas just sound a bit like a Thomas Köner track or something to me. Smile
Sound like flys to me i just hope the bbc sort it out were by you can turn them off when watching games.
It's no worse than the European games with air horns !
ban the bloody things, such a horrible annoying sound.
