i have read that some offer internet via satilite so that would be worth looking into too.
seriously out of all the guys that visit this site no1 has a dvb card to recommend?....
Sorry Hexit, I already have a WinTV Freeview capture card installed on my Video PC, but when it comes to getting a satellite one, I would not know where to start.

Unless you already have a dish installed, it would be rather troublesome to try and install one yourself, and align it yourself to a particular satellite. Plus does the software allow you to tune to all frequencies, as if not, it would rule out certain satellites.

If I was to go for one though, I would seriously consider the Hauppauge WinTV Nova, as it seems to cause the least conflicts. Plus if you can get a PCI Express version, it would be even better.

Don't know if any of that helps you mate.

Ace.
i already have sky m8 i was just gonna tune them channels into it. i just wanna get rid of my fv and sky boxes, and have the ability to record/edit/cap then upload.
thanx for the info's though i will look into it.
the reason i asked is my local supplier said not all cards will allow you to watch sky only euro sat/analog like astra. somthing to do with decoding/recording the sky signal.

Hauppauge seem like they know what there doing so i think il email em and ask em the more pertinent questions i have. thanx again for the info...
