Hi guys.

I thought I'd let you all know, that I may be missing off the forum, for a few days/weeks, as my computer has developed an annoying motherboard problem, with regards to it's Keyboard interface. So I periodically have a mouse and keyboard that have a mind of there own, and crash the system every now an then.

I now need to build myself a new computer system with a new motherboard, and transfer all my peripherals over. Hopefully I will not have to do a re-boot of my operating system.

So depending on how easy it's goes, I may only be missing a short while. At present I have managed to get it stable enough to make this statement, but I have no idea how long it will last.

All the best

Ace.
One computer is never enough.
I would be embarassed to say how many I have. Smile

Well, I actually have 3, but I only use the one, to record, edit, and post all the videos. And yes you guest it. that's the one that decided to mess up.

It might just be a dry joint, in which case I might just repair it, but I have a suspicion it's something a little more than that.

I have never gone out and bought a new computer in my life, as I find you can best get one to suit your needs, if you build your own.

So hopefully, I'll be back at full posting capacity soon. Big Grin
Hope you are able to get it sorted soon aceman.
Best wishes.

I think your wrong on that one ace, you can purchase a new one dual core, for £400.00, all you have to replace is the power supply, 4-500 watt will do. I built my own in the past, but the same machine, would cost double to buy the components.
I'm not even going to debate that point with you Stoly, because under normal circumstance, you would be right. But I've been building my own computers for over 25 years, since the old 286's and Orange monitors days. So needless to say I've built up quite a few contacts, to be able to get things at cost.

And as I already have a spare motherboard of the same make, just one model down on the one that's gone faulty, most of my existing peripherals will just transfer over. So it's not a matter of if. It's just a mater of how long it takes.
Sorry to hear of your computer problem mate, all the best with the build Smile
Thanks Guys for your support and understanding.

My video capture and editing computer is now up and running at full speed once again. Big Grin So I should be back posting caps and vids within the next few days. Big Grin

Now all I need is 60 hours in a day, and 24 days in a week, to catch up with all the back recordings. laugh

All the best

Ace.
