Well, tonight see's the start of a new 6 part drama on the BBC at 9 starring Idris Elba aka Stringer Bell from The Wire.

So far from what I have seen this show has a lot of promise and the reviews haven't been bad at all.

its called Luther, just got it on now, not bad so far Smile.
First ep was pretty good, good to see Idris doing some UK tv work only problem is it`s only a 6 part series (typical uk tv) we make something good and it finishes right when people are just getting into it ie Spooks, Law & Order UK.annoyed Thats the differents between the UK & US in America seasons go on for 10/11 episodes.
that does bother me that uk series are shorter. im a big battlestar galactica fan and one of the new series was 20 episodes long. even the Knight rider remake was around 17 episodes
Just watched it, pretty good first episode though the director's not half as clever as he thinks he is. Looking forward to episode 2.

As far as UK tv production companies are concerned i suggest Gratuitous Violence from the lot of us.

why not?
Was a good first episode. Great introduction to what is yet to come.
Being a big fan of The Wire as a few others have already said its nice to see Idris Elba get some UK tv work i look forward to the rest of the series.
So far another cracking ep, loving the second ep. Shaping up to be a good series Smile.
Was good! I am hooked. I like how Luther and Alice play of one another.
