PS. What is a crank PM?
thanks for that elgar.
to me its sending you a message accusing you of something and generally taking the piss.
and i did not know there was a part for getting rid of them thanks again.
Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience daz.

Elgar's advice is generally pretty sound mate, as it means you won't have to suffer any 'quiet' abuse in future.

If it was particularly offensive, you might want to take it up with a moderator. They will have a word with the person concerned and that usually stops any further problems at the source. It also means that the perpetrator will be unlikely to move their comments into the public realm.

If I might play the Devil's Advocate though, just be sure that any remarks you make privately or on the forum, aren't misunderstood or could be interpreted in a negative manner. So long as you are satisfied that's not the case, then by all means take the matter further if you feel you must.

Most of all, don't take it too hard. Forums can be flashpoints sometimes, it's just their nature. The mods here are pretty good at dousing the flames quickly though Smile
