One of the biggest sporting weekends of the year continues with FA Cup Semi Finals. Not the same both games staged at Wembley.

First up CHELSEA V ASTON VILLA Kick off 5.00pm ITV1.

Lets hope 'THE VILLA' put up a better show than their last meeting the other day.Big Grin

I hate Wembley semi-finals. It takes the meaning out of getting to the final.
The FA complain that nobody takes the Cup seriousl yanymore and then fucks about with it by putting semis at Wembley, getting rid of the glorious replay sagas we used to get and letting the Final be decided on penalties. Imbeciles the lot of em.
I suppose they had to find some way to pay for the cost of the 'New Wembley' Stadium.

Exactly, everything's about money and fuck the tradition.
I thought Wembley was meant to be the home of English football and yet they still can't sort the pitch out.

Plus, the game is not even a sell-out. What is wrong with the Emirates or Old Trafford for semi-finals?
I agree, the semi's should never be played at Wembley, who's ever idea that was should be shot!

It takes everything that is special and magical away from the final, the whole dream is shattered, football's so called Governing body has so much to answer for!
I can see both sides to this discussion. The only way a lot of teams are going to get to Wembley is by reaching the semi's. As to "is the game sold out", there's a lot of corporate seats, which you will get at Wembly or any other big stadium.
Result predictable enough but 3-0 a little harsh on Villa, might have made things more interesting if they were given first half penalty. The 'Double' is still on for Chelsea though.

But it wasn't just in the corporates where there were empty seats. It'll be interesting to see what the FA give as the official attendance.

The only point of going to Wembley, unless England game and in my opinion it was better when England went round the country, it is after all the England team not the London England team, was for a final where it actually had a special significance.

Sorry, bit of a rant, I know. Oh well, at least I'll be in a better mood tonight than astonv1.
