I thought the fight was a draw. I thought as Groves slowed down from rounds 9-12 Degale caught up with him. Given the amount of talking he has done however I thought he would come a lot more heavy handed than he did.
There is no doubt that he is a quality Super middle in the making but he lacks a concussive punch and I am not sure being a southpaw actually works for him. Groves just proved he was a little more intelligent on the night. Good luck to him and well done.
Will DeGale be sticking to the pre-fight wager, I wonder?

Great news, used to be well into it in the late 80's & 90's.
Benn, Eubank, Bruno, Marsh, McGuigan, Herol Bomber and the rest all on terrestial and they became household names, now those were the days.
Joe Calzahge was britains best recent PFP fighter in his prime, but due to being on Sky would probably not even been recognised in the street when he was world champion, which was a shame for such a great fighter.
Anyway this is great news.
aimar khan for channel 5's first fight, he has hardly set the boxing world alight since 2004 after his silver medal at the olympics.

The only troublwe with Audley Harrison is that he never has shown the same attitude in his pro career that he had as an amateur. He could have been out best heavyweight hope until Sprott knocked him out. Bet he's even finiding it hard to get a decent fight these days!! I just wishj he'd do one more fight in the UK where Tyson Fury knocks him spark out and shuts him up for good.
