As I begin Uni this year, I was wondering where other people have been or where they still go and what their experiences were like. I never really wanted to go until this year, so i'm a bit nervous about it. Hope there hasn't been a thread similar to this before.

Just be wary of the friends you make in the first few weeks. Don't get me wrong I'm still in touch with friends I made early on, but other people turn out to be idiots. Also, people who you thought, initially you'd never get on with, turn out to be really sound people.

All part of growing up.
Not all it's cracked up to be

If you're good at parroting back what you've been told, you'll do fine.

If you like to think for yourself and are capable of thinking outside the box and coming up with your own answers etc - you may feel disappointed by it all

Really depends what you hope to get out of it

Hope it goes well for you though Smile
I'm with Sooky on this. Been there, done that, not impressed. Not impressed with the quality of graduates coming out either. They might know things but most are unable to then use this information in a constructive way beyond the theory they are taught

It's fine to learn facts and figures but don't expect to learn anything of value for use in the real world. It's a place to learn things, not a place on learning how to think.

On the plus side... Student bars Big Grin

Just for future reference, yes! I will have fries with that... Wink

Sorry, but someone had to do it. Big Grin Best of luck with Uni and I hope it works out well for you.
Thanks for the feedback everyone, I'm doing Media Production so I hope it allows me to be quite creative. Looking forward to meeting new people and progressing in the subject I love, which I've been studying for 5 years now.
