The Pacific;
The new WWII show is the follow up to Band Of Brothers. Made by HBO , Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. It"s on Easter Monday on Sky Movies Premiere/HD, at 9 PM ,and their showing the first two episodes back to back (it"s a ten part series). Here"s a little preview.

i've seen the first two episodes..it doesn't disappoint...i loved band of brothers..this looks just as good.
Having not seen Band of Brothers yet, should I not bother watching The Pacific until I get around to watching Band of Brothers?

Yeah you can still watch it , because this is a different set of character"s ( Band Of Brothers was the European Campaign involving the 101 st Airbourne Division, and this one involves the 1 st Marine Division, so it"s a different set of characters and actors). If you want to watch Band Of Brothers, TCM (Sky Channel 317) this Monday are showing it at 9 pm, 2 episodes a night every night up to and including Friday, or if you can"t watch it , I recommend you just sky + it .
It's also available to buy at some pretty reasonable prices if you shop around. I got my boxset from a 2 for £20 deal on play.com a while back. It's currently available for £14.99 delivered on DVD and £17.49 on Blu-Ray, which is a bargain for such high quality drama.

So do I. Maybe it will switch to BBC like BOB. Otherwise wait for DVD Box Set. Sigh

Edit: Of course it won't switch to BBC. What's happened to BBC/HBO collaboration?
