Its close between Rebecca Adlington, Chris Hoy & Rebecca Romero, but Rebecca Adlington just edges it for me.
Chris Hoy, andy murray hasnt done anythin record breaking, but still duid well, and lewis hamilton is only on here because of who he drives for

Er...Chris Hoy became the first British athlete in 100 years to win three gold medals in a single Olympics....
And I'm no fan of Murray, but he became the first British player to win two titles at the elite Masters level, which is below only the Grand Slams in importance...

I am a massive Formula 1 fan, so Lewis Hamilton for me - Although all the goings on in China was excellent.
Don't bother voting, Lewis Hamilton will piss it. Pity cos he has boogered off to Switzerland to avoid paying tax like us mere mortals.
For true effort a cyclist should win. No offence to Adlington but she is the double of A.L.F. from the 1980s!
Anyone but Lewis Hamilton, now the guy is awesome as far as driving a car that is better then every other car in F1 goes, But going to Switzerland and not paying taxes, thats just lame, really, he should be up for Switzerland sports personality of the year.
For me its clear that what Rebecca Adlington managed to do in the pool at the Olympics should give her the win, she was amazing and it was completely unexpected, of course with swimming not being a big thing I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't get it, but she is the most deserving.
