Just had a certain someone that used to be on this site being silly over a game of football, not sure if many people know am a spurs fan i would be the first person to laugh at my team and jokes. This person comes on to msn starts being really silly silly over spurs beating leeds tonight, leeds who i thought played a very good game of football because of this guy who i will not name then decides to then push it even further on facebook and i made a comment back on his fb page and i end up getting the comment removed and then blocked for it.What also makes me laugh is that i was minding my own business on my msn when this certain someone came up and started the arugment its not like i went out of my way to start or pick a fight as i think thats childish. When will some people realise that its just a game football and shouldn't be taken things like this so serious. I love watching teams like arsenal, man utd, chelsea playing week in week out as am a great lover footie, but some people just need to sit down and just enjoy the beautiful game, its not life and death. Most of my best friends are arsenal fans and we have a little joke about each others teams but its nothing serious, i just wish some people like that would just grow up and realise its just a bloody game, there are worse things going on in this world like the poor people in hati and are boys losing there lives in iraq.
Couldn't agree more Kalel - similar thoughts to those i've expressed in other football threads. Real fans know that the world soesn't stop turning if you lose and there are far more important things going on in the world with far greater consequences. Yes we all want our team to win but deep down we all, no matter who you support, have this nagging feeling that we're going to lose. The highs and lows are part of being a fan. Anyway leeds need to concentrate on getting back to where they belong. You've got to presume that from the way they played against man utd and tottenham they could turn half the premier league over on a regular basis.
Yeah I am also a Spurs fan and somehow have a brother that is an Arsenal fan (no fucking idea how), and we always smack talk eachother in the run up to the Derby but there is never any malice in it, and then when it is over, if it is a draw then we will still take the piss out of one another (like him saying we couldn't even beat them when they were down to 10 men last season) but if one of us loses the other one knows it is going to be very sore taking the piss and we leave it because it is not worth it. Same with my workmates, we put footy above everything else and laugh and joke about it up to the weekend but never take the piss out of others results because you don't want the same happening to you, that is how footy fans should be, bit of banter, never enough to annoy the other people. Although for some reason a Millwall fan was taking the piss out of me the other day for Spurs knocking Leeds out of the Cup, I have know idea how that one worked. And I also had another Millwall fan take the piss out of me for their supporters chasing ours away from their stadium 5 years before I was even born! So there are cocks, just don't let it get to you, or if you have a decent knowledge of football then you can make a comeback based on shit they don't know that can usually shut them up.
