I'd heard of http://www.mp3ify.com/ before, but never looked until now. Works extremely well for quick conversion & download of a youtube vid to an mp3 - far better than the method I've been using up to now.
EDIT: Although, having just compared a created mp3 to the youtube video I took it from, the quality of the sound on the mp3 seems inferior (or at least it loses some bass) ...maybe I'll stick with my convoluted method after-all.
