I know most of you guys and girls know this stuff. There's new members joining all the time and may not know how to upload and post pictures/avatars. Anyway's I hope someone might find this useful.

For this tutorial we are gonna be using ImageVenue (get it bookmarked Smile )

1. Make sure the image you want to upload is saved on your computer (somewhere you remeber e.g. Desktop).Make sure its in .jpg/.jpeg format and under 3mb in size.

2. Head over to
Code:
http://imagevenue.com

3. Click the the 1st "Browse" button (1). Locate your picture for upload in the "open" pop-up box. Highlight picture and click open. Then select weather your picture is "Family safe" or "Adult content" (2). Then hit the "Send file(s)" button (3).

4. You should see some thing like the following;

5. After a short while uploading you will be presented with a screen like this;

6. Highlight and copy the red image code.

7. Make a new thread/reply on the forum. Write your message. Paste the image code into your "Post a new thread/reply" box;

8. Hit the "Preview Post" button;

9. If you dont see your image in the preview post you will need to copy the Green image code from step 6 instead on the red code (not sure why but sometimes red code works and sometimes only the green code works Rolleyes )

10. Now you an hit the "Post thread/reply button. Jobs a good'un

Hope that helps some of you guys out Smile

Wish you had posted this excellent info a couple of weeks ago.
It took me a few days working out how to do it for myself.
I use the site below, which works in a similar way.

http://www.imagebam.com

Will give you a rep point for your efforts.
Thanks guys...

It may seem a little long winded mate to start with. After you have done it a couple of times, it only take seconds to complete all the steps!

Yes imagebam is another good site along with Pixelup for adding full size images to the forum posts!

Thanks to everyone who rep'd me for this tutorial, apreciated!

Maybe if Admin see it as being a useful thread it could be stickied/pinned?
Question ... I tried using both imagevenue and imagebam, but my images (which were 600 x 320 pxls in size) appeared to be shrunk down to about 160 x 30 pxls when I uploaded them. I'm relatively sure I followed the instructions posted here accurately. But the images appear in the threads roughly the same size as attachments (ie, very small). Any ideas?
Thanks a lot helped in making my first thread
thanks for the guide just sent up my first load of caps thanks to this guide

cheers again
