I, once again, watched "Enter The Dragon" last night as it's a classic martial arts film and one that i love too. Actually, the one that both pushed martial arts films (certainly from the east) and the great Bruce Lee himself into the mainstream.

Incidently, martial arts films would not be what they are today, without this film and Bruce himself.

Anyway, when i watched the final fight scene in the hall of mirrors, which in my opinion at least i'm sure, is one of the truly genuine "classic" movie scenes. So it got me thinking what are others. And what do other members here suggest too.

I know there's a thread already for "favourite movie scenes", but this thread is (to be) different - i would like to know genuine classic scenes only. Filmgoers who appreciate a good film, whilst maybe not entirely liking it, will understand where i am coming from. So i don't want willy nilly scenes that people like/think funny etc etc.

A few others that spring to mind straight away:

1. Napalm bombing scene from "Apocalypse Now"
2. Rutger Hauer's "death" at the end of "Blade Runner"
3. Clint Eastwood's "..do you feel lucky punk.." scene from "Dirty Harry"
For me the three mini's car chase in the original Italian job is a classic scene and the bus over the edge of the cliff scene as well and of course the classic line "your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off" from the same film.
Thanks rover.. this is exactly what i'm talking about/asking for. That indeed is a classic. Absolutely. Brilliant.

Another i just thought of - Jack Nicholson in "The Shining", "..i don't want to hurt you honey.. i just want to smash your head right the f*ck in.."

- Monica, you should like this one!!
if i may bump this thread. my fave scene is from a film already mentioned- except it's the opening scene. incredible, creepy, and just mesmerising.
