The 5th ODI was match abandoned so England won the ODI Series 2-1 only the second team to win in South Africa i was very pleased as English cricket does get a lot of stick for not performing well in ODI cricket.Big Grin
First Test Day 1 Centurion

South Africa 262/4 off 90 overs

England got off to a good start by dismissing Graeme Smith for a duck and took early wickets as South Africa were struggling a 93/3 but Jacques Kallis score a century and remains 112* not out but England are not out of it as South Africa are scoring at a slow run rate.

England were playing mediocre cricket but Graeme Swann and James Anderson put on 106 runs for the 9th wicket to make thing more competitive as Graeme Swann top scored with 85 runs very useful innings and England took an early wicket as South Africa are 9/1 England i would say are now back in the game but we still have 2 days to go.

First Test Day 4 Centurion

South Africa 2nd innings 301/7dec off 85.5 overs

England 2nd innings 11/1 off 6 overs

England got off to a great start by taking 4 early wickets as South Africa were struggling at 46/4 but then Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, Mark Boucher and Morne Morkel all scored useful runs but Hashim Amla was top scorer 100. Then England had to face a tricky 6 over spell by South Africa and are already 11/1 losing the skipper Andrew Strauss for 1 England have 9 wickets in hand need to chase 364 so England fans should they go for the win or play it for a draw.

Thanks for the scores mate.
Its certainly going be a tricky day tomorrow especially first thing. They certainly dont want to lose the game so the Draw will probable be thier first priority.

I think they should just bat normally (easier said than done) and then review things as they go along. If they lose early wickets then I fear the worse.

But if (and its a BIG if ) they could get to around Tea with wickets in hand then they could prehaps considering going for the win.
Scoring 353 on the last day is a huge (impossible?) task but if KP could play himself fully into form and others chip in then who knows.

Lots of "ifs"......

I'm not sure of the weather forecast tomorrow so that might save England (or South Africa Big Grin )
