Great looking vids Leg Love - Thanks

The first of my newer higher quality vids, after a week of wrangling with hard drive removal and sky box tinkering.

These vids are made using +Extract: which basically means they are the very same file that the Sky Box recorded.

Great quality iin the vid frozenchicken. Only comment would be to change the resoloution of the vid. It's currently set at 544x576 (4:3). If it's possible to change the res with the software you use to 16:9. Say 720x400 or 1024x576 etc. Although that is something people can do manually within their players. It would help with your caps though and show a wide screen as aired quality for your high quality uploads.

Thanks Josh. For some reason the resolution of the caps came out different than that of the vid. The vid hasn't gone through any sort of processing except demuxing and remuxing, so I can't change the resolution without encoding it (which I'm not doing at the mo - it's ripped straight from the box), unless you know of any other way?

I record Sky onto my pc via an s-video cable. The res of the recording is 720x576. If I am just going to make caps, then I use a program called DVDPatcher. It works on mpeg files and it allows you to patch the video files. It tricks the various players to think that the file is indeed 16:9. Dont change ur vid res settings or bitrate. Keep them the same @ 544x576 as dieplayed in the top info box. Change the aspect ratio to 16:9 only and patch the entire file. This takes a few secondss to a minute to do. Then ur caps will be displayed at 16:9 once saved. I always use the program on a copy of the file just in case in fuck's up the original. (Has happened b4) I use media player classic to make caps and by default, the caps of ur vid are saved at 1024x576. No need for photo editing software or encoding.
