not that i'm thinking about setting up my own fantasy minge channel or owt

but how much can they rake in? i mean theres the cost of tech staff, cameramen, the models themselves, studios, actually i was reading an old thread where vostok said

(06-08-2009 21:58 )vostok 1 Wrote: [ -> ]About £620k for a single channel on Sky.
And that is all before you hire a single Girl, a producer or a camera operator.

you wonder how many of us have to phone in at £1.50 a minute to make it worthwhile.

maybe they get a kickback off sky for attracting people to subscribe?
my maths might be dodgy but thats £620k/365 days=£1700 per day

£70/hour

some weeknights the phones are dead in the early hours... so there must be a hell of a lot of callers earlier on just 'listening in'
hahaha, you are so funny, if we girls earn 10-15-20£ maybe 25£ an hour we would be so so greatful but honestly there is no one of our callers able to affort this rate at all.
Is there any of rich callers on here???!!!!

you're kidding love we all work at tescos.

would you like a hand packing your bags?
Cellcast's revenue for the 2008/2009 tax year was £15.9 million. In 2007/2008 it was £12.1 million.
Those figures include revenue from their Babe Shows as well as the other interactive services. (Psychic/gaming/etc)
fook, and there was me thinking some of the channels must be just scraping by.
And yet, it only takes circa £250K to take on OFCOM and win...annoyed

Just to clarify, revenue is income, not their profit.
All of their running costs have to be deducted from this.
Just wondering what the effects of different pricing would be, especially on freeview.

Do you think they would get 7-15 times the amount of callers (as listeners) if they dropped the call charge to 10-20 pence a minute?

Potential benefits include a whole new market, those on low income who look at a premium rate phone call the same as they'd look at a Rolls Royes. Nice, but not for them.

The increased call times would lead to more caller interaction which would lead to a better product and more repeat customers. Practise makes perfect.

You undercut potential rivals from other parts of the sex industry, massage parlours etc.

Dunno how oFcom would take that though.
