I agree, i get that message if a file is missing or corrupt.
I'm after some help.
Total dunce when it comes to PC's, I've download 7zip to play the rar files, but when I save them from rapidshare to my videos and try to play them, windows sends me to the list of fee paying rar programs.
Could anyone help or suggest the best way to play rar files?
Thanks

A rar file is similar to a zip file. It is a file that has been compressed to make it smaller.
7Zip is a program that you can use to uncompress the file not play it.
If you right click the file it should give you the option to extract/uncompress the file using 7Zip. This will give you the video file which you can play with VLC player or maybe Windows media player.
If the rar file has been split into more than one part, you have to download all of the parts to the same folder and use 7Zip on the first part only, it will find the other parts itself.

Can someone explain to me...if i download say 3 rar files of 200,200,50 Mb
and then extract them...i end up with a 450 Mb playable file.....so where
is the compression ?
The first time i did this (not too long ago lol) i expected my final file to
be , say 2 Gb or something !
Thanks

It depends what was inside the rar. If it was a file format that's already compressed (.avi .jpg etc), then 'raring' the file won't reduce the size, it'll merely 'package' the file.
can anyone update me on which RAR extraction program works best with windows 110 - and more importantly - virus free?
been on google play looking at such apps and the apps on there are not getting good reviews so putting me off
i've always used win rar. there is probably better out there but it's always done right by me.

it might ask you to pay when using it, click cancel and use it for free.
