I don't think so, give him another chance
He's got a pretty thin squad of players to choose from and off the top of my head I can't think of an obvious candidate to replace him. I'd give him another qualification tournament, but then I'm from England so it's nothing to do with me really.
FFS give the man a chance!! Takes time to make an international team!!

did the best with what he had.

Exactly. Not much wrong with him as a manager, it's the fact we have a very average team. Roll on World Cup 2014!! lol. Smile
I'm plesantly surprised by this, I thought most people would say sack him we have to give him another chance, if we play the way we've have in the last 2 games we'll do well
Give him a contract for life. From all your friends in England. 1978 still not forgotten.
as a proud englishman i'm not really that bothered.... but i would say who would you replace him with? the only real link for the job that i've heard is walter smith... and didn't he already walk out on scotland once plus that rather unattractive and defensive minded style of play of his
we have the guffest team ive seen for a while.

only a few decent standout players; McFadden, Scott Brown

bring in more players like Steven Naismith who will play ther heart out and dropshit like Graham Alexander.

its hard life being scottish haha, but we did well against Holland 1st half
There is a dearth of quality scottish players in football today & it has to be said not one single world-class scottish player, the reasons for this could be debated till the cows come home.Even when Scotland had world class players e.g. Dalglish,Souness,Hansen they still struggled in the finals of tournaments.
The one light at the end of the tunnel for Scotland is that there is not a dearth of world-class managers available outside of Scotland who may be able to get the best out of a mediocre squad so they can at least reach the finals of world cup etc.
Now don't anyone throw the name Berti Vogts at me because he IMO cannot be regarded as a world-class manager.
