I was wondering if there are any fellow NFL fans on the forum. With the season kicking off on thursday night with the Tennessee Titans visiting the current Superbowl champions the Pittsburgh Steelers (live on sky),i can't wait for the kick-off to a new season,in which i think will be quite an open contest to see who will be crowned the new Superbowl champs.
On a personal level i'll be hoping that my beloved Oakland Raiders will hopefully show much improvement,at the least a .500 season, with the addition today of Richard Seymour from the Patriots to add some veteren leadership to the defence, hopes are high in the Raider nation that this year will be a renaissance for the Silver & Black.

I think the Bears have a great chance of being the NFC champs this year, trading for Jay Cutler was a great move and finally gives them a genuine top-draw quarterback to lead the offence,i still think they need a No1 receiver, but if Devin Hester steps up and with that defence led by the inspirational Brian Urlacher they will take a lot of stopping.

Hopefully Sky will show more Dolphins games this year, the Dolphins set a trend last season with the wildcat offence, which a lot of teams are set to copy this year,it'll be interesting to see if NFL defences cope with it better.
I have been into NFL football since it first aired on Channel 4 way back and since the first day my team has always been the Washington Redskins, so I've enjoyed both highs and lows in that time. Next season should be a challenging one again in a really tough division. We look strong enough defensively but the offensive line is a pale imatation of the Hogs of old and a .500 season is on the cards, but you never know. Up until a few years ago I also was a regular watcher of my local team the Birmingham Bulls as well in the British league and was present at a couple of Grand Final triumphs.

Yeah i think the NFC East has got to be the toughest division to play in,losing Jon Jansen was a big loss for the O-line in terms of leadership, but the addition of Albert Haynesworh gives the D-line a real nasty streak.I think they could be an outside bet for a wild-card though, because the NFC East teams could all cancel each other out,an 8-8 record could be enough, not to win the division but for second place.
I'm a Jags fan myself, looking forward to the new season, we were average last year, fingers crossed for a better return in the coming season.
Just started to get back into the N.F.L. Used to watch it on C-4, now can"t wait for it to start on sky, what a good job they do by the way, love all the interactive shit they do. Wonder if Five will show the Late Monday night games or will they knock it on the head (like they did with the baseball). I like the New England Patriots but my team has always been the Denver Broncos (John Elway what a great Quarterback).
Channel Five is showing the late game on sunday night game between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers.I agree,i think Sky do an amazing job with their coverage what with the amount of games and different teams they show, fans of all teams get an opportunity to see a live game with there favorites.
