Looks like Ryan Reynolds has been cast to play Hal Jordan in the up coming Green Lantern movie, filming is to begain in january 2010.

what about the deadpool movie? one actor shouldn't do more than one superhero.

Bit weird that he will be Deadpool AND Green Lantern though. I would of been more than happy if one of the other choices got it (David Boreanaz and Nathan Fillion). But I am sure Ryan Reynolds can pull the job off, let us just hope they don't give him those cringeworthy one liners he had in Blade Trinity, because they worked in Origins when he was Wade Wilson, didn't work in Trinity, and they will not work with GL. Although Kyle Rayner does come up with some stupid jokes like that pretty often, but I am guessing he is going to be Hal Jordan, because it should be an origin story surely. Hal and Kyle are the only real choices because Alan Scott is too old fashioned, Guy Gardner cannot be around without Hal being around first and it may be stretching it a bit for him to be John Stewart lol. Any news as to which GL he will be Kal?

He's to be Hal Jordan, its the only story they're playing with at the moment.

I read this too- remember he was Hannibal King in Blade 3 as well so he has also been more than one Marvel character so it shouldnt be a problem playing a DC character.

Him and his missus (Scarlett Johannsen) have now both played Marvel characters as well with her being the Black Widow in Iron Man 2

I guess it will be another DC films CGI fest... A XBOX 360 game on the big screen.

Take a look at this 60 year old movie (apart from the terrorist attack on New York) the FX are amazing, they don't make effects as good as this since they decided to use computers instead of film makers.

I thought iron man was great, made good use of CGI rather than being just a CGI fest.
