You're right he wasn't in the UK, he was presenting from New York where he normally broadcasts from.

Wasn't it fantastic to see Edward in full uniform with all his medals on display? Quite an achievement for a man who threw in the towel after just about managing to complete his basic training.

No he wasn't broadcasting from the US.
Anderson is one of CNN's main anchors, they flew him from the US and he was broadcasting from outside Balmoral.

There are 2 videos on YouTube that show he was in the studio when the Queen's death was announced. He presented his Anderson Cooper 360 show as normal that night.

I've found 2 press reports stating that Nic Robertson and Isa Soares were CNN's reporters at Balmoral (although they didn't arrive there until after the Queen had died).

Andrew, The Duke of York will be a Counsellor of State for the new king. (There are 5 counsellors).This means he will be concidered to cover Charles if he is ever ill or out of the country.

the Counciller of the state is by law the queens consort and the next 4 in line to the throne who are i think are over 18 or 21 so it is William, Harry Andrew and Betrace because George Charlotte and Louis and Harrys kids are all to young. It can only be changed by law

^ So there is no change to the order of the Counsellors of State, just Betrace now being included. Andrew was already one of the Cousellor and hadn't had that privelege removed by the Queen.

thats my understanding of it only the govt can remove him by act of parliament anyway

they fucked up they didnt back date the females heirs laws only made it from 2013 which means Anne would have replaced Andrew but even then as Peter Phillips or Zara Tindall have no titles would they be elligable meaning Andy would still have been 5th

just need charlie to hold on for 10-15 years so George Charlotte and Louis are all old enough then no problems
