Channels 673 & 674

Well the announcement last night mentioned the earlier start but said nothing about extending the show by an hour. Arguably the finish time will be the same and therefore by starting an hour earlier there will be an extra hour of BSX, but my guess is that the show will be the same as it is now and it won't go on for longer.

Your reasoning may be good, although it didn't answer The Silent Majority's question. It would surely have affected both the EPG listings.

Just out of interest, does anyone know if the current listings do indeed show BSX on channel 673 and Babestation on channel 674.

I'd check it myself, but sadly my remote control isn't working. I can still watch Freeview but I have no way of accessing the EPG.

Last time I looked at about 6.00pm nothing had changed.

673 does start at 10.00 so at the moment we see the whole of that show: except for the last 30 minutes. 674 starts at 11.00 BUT is BSX until 1.00am when we get the last 4 hours of the show! So presumably (unless BSX goes on for longer?) our FV show could start at midnight !?............

I suppose it makes sense, if the 10pm to midnight slot has to effectively become not much more than a dayshow, to run BSX then and have both channels start the nightshow at midnight.

Just checked my technology. 673 says BSX from 10.00 till 12.00 (BSX preview from 10.00 till 10.10) and BS TV show from 12.00 till 5.00.
But 674 is still the same as now! Yet to be updated!? ..........I presume that BSX only warrants one channel!!!!!!?........

That makes perfect sense. The extra hour of BSX always seemed unlikely, as they would no doubt have been promoting any such upgrade.

I'll recheck 674 later.
3.45 pm. Just checked my TV and it's still the same! So BSX shown as 10.00 till 12.00 on 673 and 11.00 till 1.00 on 674!!...........

Yes, hit the nail on the head. Since they can't start nightshows until midnight now and therefore have reduced broadcasting time for them, it really wouldn't be good to allow BSX to take a further hour out of the time available when it's easy to avoid it.

Yes I agree: jus need to get used to the midnight start now (at least on FV) and make the most of the last few "full length " shows!
I presume that 674 will be updated on my TV before Monday!

It seems certain that Babestation is moving to 674 whether they update the EPG in time for the move or not.
