RE: UCI Pro-Cycling Events
Really enjoyed this years Giro, lots of first time stage winners, & what looks like the second coming of Simon yates after a quiet spell. Bernal is going to be a threat for some time to come, & his back problem hasn't gone away yet, so he'll be tough to beat when fully fit. The shortened stage 16 (queen stage) which he won, cut out 60km & 2 big climbs, so the margin of victory could've been greater. Ineos Grenadiers supported Bernal to perfection, despite losing Sivakov early in the Tour.
Great to see Caruso winning a stage & a podium place, gaining some long overdue limelight after Landa crashed out. It was also good to see Evenepoel back on a bike after his horror crash, & getting in the mix before he withdrew at the start of stage 18. Hugh Carthy looked good before fading over the last week, finishing 8th & Dan Martin rode to a fantastic solo stage win & 10th overall.

Not as thrilling as last year's and the TV coverage was very patchy to non-existent due to the technical difficulties with the weather in the Dolomites. But yes all in all enjoyable and Bernal imperious, no one came near him really. Last year's winner Hart in the TdF, Vs Roglic and co should be fascinating - cannot wait.

Peter Sagan will leave Bora-Hansgrohe at the end of this year. Rumours suggest he's off to TotalEnergies.

Confirmed. As expected his personal team are going with him and Specialized who have supplied his bikes since 2015 are also going with him. They have also signed a 1 year extension with Bora Hansgrohe. TotalEnergies will be guaranteed an invitation to any World Tour Race he wants to go to and the publicity he gets will certainly raise their profile.

Lizzie never wears gloves so this is how her handlebars looked after today's win. Surprised
